WHO is eligible? This certificate IV course for church planters is only available to: those who who seriously intend to plant a church those who who are accountable to some Christian organisation. Note: We will train people of ANY Christian denomination which can give wholehearted assent to the Nicene Creed.If prospective students are not currently aligned, they can apply to come under the covering of Rivergate Christian Community if they support Rivergate's belief and values. If successful in their training, they would become the Rivergate Pastor of the congregation where they plant their church.
When are the courses run? The Church Planting Courses begin in the first week of February AND in the first week of July. The residential week is typically in September. Being part of the small church revolution Small churches have been the basis of winning nations to Christ for 20 centuries. However, in Western culture, small churches have been made to feel inferior. This church planting program is part of a program to restore the vital role of small churches in Australia. It offers three things:
- TRAINING (that is relevant, practical and high quality)
- Ongoing RESOURCES (providing churches with everything they need to disciple their people each week)
- Ongoing PASTORAL CARE and networking
