Becoming an Accredited Pastor

If you are being trained for ministry with a particular Christian denomination to whom you are accountable, then it will be up to them to accredit you as a Pastor.

Note: A Certificate IV in Christian Ministry is generally considered to be the minimum qualification required of someone to be a Pastor in Australia.

If you have been accepted for training by Rivergate Christian Community to whom you have chosen to make yourself accountable – becoming a Rivergate Pastor will require three things:

  1. Satisfactory completion of the Unity College Certificate IV in Christian Ministry delivered by Rivergate Christian Community.
  2. Satisfactory assessment by the leadership of Rivergate Christian Community
  3. The successful planting of a church
